This pendant is a hamsa amulet, ancient symbol picturing an opened hand with a palm and five outstretched fingers, along with the High Priest's Breastplate, the Hoshen.
The hoshen shield was the sacred breastplate worn by Aaron HaCohen, the Jewish High Priest, that was inlaid with colorful hoshen stones and inscribed with the names of the original 12 Tribes of Israel.
