Framing the band is a Blue ribbon. A silk band with same work at the Atarah with a gold lettered Hebrew blessing- “…asher kideshanu bemitzvotav vitzivanu lehitatef be tzitzit”, meaning “G-d made us holy through commanding us to don the tzitzit” in English – and stars of David in the corners complete the stylish look.
The basis for wearing the tallit is from Numbers 15:37-41, in which G-d says to Moses: "Speak to the children of Israel and bid them to affix fringes (tzitziot) to the corners of their garments... that you may look upon them and remember all the commandments of the Lord."
This pretty prayer shawl made out of white rayon and a silk band hand painted in tones of Blue with a hand painted Messianic Seal of Jerusalem in color gold, uniting a Menorah, the Star of David and the Fish. “And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. Before putting on a tallit, it is a customary tradition to kiss it and hold it open while the following prayer is recited:"Baruch atah adonai eloheinu melech ha'olam asher kid'shanu b'mitvotav v'tzivanu l'hitatef batzitzit."
